When You Care Enough to Hit Send

So my new obsession is sending these hilarious e cards from Some eCards to everyone in my address book that has a sense of humor. Because, truly, how else can you let someone know that you care simply by clicking send? I especially like the workforce section, particularly the one that asks to please adjust the workload around my hangover. I'll probably need that one tomorrow.

The Russian Collection by OPI

When I first read about the Russian collection, I was intrigued. I'm fascinated by all things Russian, and I could only imagine the glamourousness of a nail polish collection. OPI did not disappoint me at all. All Laqured Up has some gorgeous pictures of the entire collection. Run right over there and check them out.
As for me, I'll be purchasing An Affair in Red Square (the absolute best name ever), Midnight in Moscow, and Russian Navy. I'm totally looking forward to fall here.

Just Say No to the It Bag

An interesting article in the Charlotte newspaper today: Tim Gunn discusses the idea of why the "it" bag is a bad idea. To sum it all up, he tells us that we're better off sticking with classic pieces that will last a lifetime and staying on the lower end of "trend" bags.
I think this is sage advice. I have a LV bag that I was given when I was in high school, and it still looks as beautiful today as it did back in the late '80's. It was the standard sack-style bag that was popular back then with the LV logo on the outside. This was before the LV logo was put on absolutely everything, of course. But it is still a quiet, stylish statement. And it didn't cost nearly as much as a $4000 Chloe bag that no one will be carrying in two years.
I think I'd like to have a classic Chanel or perhaps even a Gucci. I can see spending a fair amount of money on something that I will use for many years. I can't see spending tons on a bag that will be out of style before I even get it paid off.
Maybe a Prada. Yes, I think a classic Prada would fit the bill perfectly.

Too Faced Starry-Eyed Liquid Eyeliner

Too Faced Starry-Eyed Liquid Eyeliner

I make no secret of my special love of liquid liners. I use them almost every day, and I have them in a variety of colors from the very tame to the extreme. This one, however, rocks the house. I just wish I had somewhere to wear this to! How absolutely fabulous would it be to wear this? And in colors like "Drunk Dialing," you just can't go wrong.

Tatty Devine boutique: Name necklaces

A great idea: nameplate necklaces, just like we used to see, but in fun colors, different fonts, and a dangle charm. Must have one! (via Anne Metz)

Apothecary Beverage Dispenser

Apothecary Beverage Dispenser

I think this is the greatest thing ever for outdoor parties! So much better than a pitcher. In fact, I think this might be needed for my upcoming Fourth of July party. Now I just need a great sangria recipe.
