I'm feeling very lazy today. I'm not sure if it's just an overall "I just want to lay in bed" thing or if I'm having allergy issues. It very well could be both.
At any rate, lying in bed is not an option today, so I've managed to get myself going. All I have on is my Benefit Cosmetics Miss Popularity in the corner of the eyes, a quick swipe of Too Faced Lash Injection
, and L'Oreal's Bare Naturale Mineral Eye Liner that I'm going to talk about in detail later today.
Benefit Cosmetics Miss Popularity
is my absolute favorite highlighter. I do love both Moon Beam
and High Beam
, but I keep coming back to Miss Popularity
on a daily basis.
While most people are all about using it in the corners of the eyes, I love it the best in the cupid's bow of my upper lip. It's shimmery without being glittery, noticeable without being obnoxious. It's in pigment form, so it's easily controllable, and you can use it in many different mediums. Very versatile and easy to use.
Benefit always makes cosmetics that I can use, and the packaging is always fantastic. But the price points might be a bit high for my recessionistas. For products in the $10 range, try POP Beauty Golden Sparkle Sauce or Sephora Brand Light Touch Highlighter
.
I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that I don't really remember what I had going on here. But how about those lashes? That is Too Faced Lash Injection
, which I am still loving. I've also got Benefit Cosmetics Miss Popularity
on the browbone and in the corner of the eyes, which I'll be writing more about later.
I'm also still completely in love with my Urban Decay Brow Box, and think that everyone should own this product, or something like it. Ideally, though, you should have this one, because it comes with a decent amount of wax, more than other products that I've seen. And it's the wax that helps keep everything in line.
I'm using Too Faced Magic Wand Illuminating Foundation on my face with Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder
on top. I skipped the bronzer, and used Make Up For Ever Fascinating Lip Gloss
in Pearly Coral Red.
I got an email from Benefit announcing their new perfume! I was a fan of maybe baby eau de toilette for a really long time. In fact, I think I wore it all last summer. B spot, however, looks a bit more sophisticated and intriguing. Notes include mango, freesia, peony, sandalwood and amber.
I'm scared of sandalwood - it usually overpowers everything else on me, and I'm not a huge fan. But I love amber, especially mixed with light florals for spring or summer.
What say you? Will you be trying it out?
I am a big fan of Benefit. And their Some Kind-a Gorgeous is my go-to for summer foundation, especially on the weekends, when I'm not up for spending a ton of time on my liquid foundation + primer + powder combo. I find the coverage is quite even and smooth, without being cakey or just too much. It feels to me as though it's a nice combination of primer plus foundation, and it doesn't encourage huge oil slicks on my face. I usually sweep a bronzer over it for good measure, but it's not necessary.
And right now, you can get a FREE some kind-a gorgeous
